19 Inputs Masterclass JFET Design
Every input is engineered around one rule: tone comes first. The MIX BUDDY features: • 4 stereo (or 4 mono + THRU) Hi Gain channels with Toshiba 2SK JFET 12 dB gain buffers — voiced for organic instruments and lower-level sources with creamy musical saturation when pushed. • 3 stereo (or 3 mono + THRU) Unity channels with Toshiba 2SK JFET unity gain buffers — clean, fast, and transparent for higher-level sources like drum machines and modern synths.
Advanced Routing & Flexibility
Every instrument channel includes a STEREO / MONO + THRU switch. In MONO + THRU mode, the signal stays in the mix while being sent transparently to external destinations like amps or processors. Additional inputs include a dedicated ultra-low-noise JFET microphone preamp (up to 70 dB gain) and a stereo balanced line input for interfaces or other line-level sources.
Two Master Outputs with Transformer Sound
Master Main Out runs through Heritage Audio’s 73 DI transformer circuit with switchable line or mic level output. Main Out 2 is a clean transformerless path. Both have independent level controls and ground lift, letting you send one mix to front of house and another to monitors or in-ears with perfect flexibility.
