The Soyuz 013 Ambisonic is a compact, handcrafted Russian microphone designed for immersive 3D audio recording, featuring four matched 13 mm cardioid capsules in a precise tetrahedral array. This single-point ambisonic mic captures full-sphere sound (A-format) with exceptional coherence, ideal for VR/AR, 360° video, spatial music, game audio, and Ambisonic research. Each capsule uses Soyuz’s proprietary low-noise transformerless circuit and gold-sputtered diaphragms, delivering transparent, natural sound with wide dynamic range and low self-noise. Built with the same obsessive attention to detail as the legendary Soyuz 013 FET, it combines vintage warmth with modern precision for professional immersive workflows.

Tetrahedral Ambisonic Array

Four perfectly matched cardioid capsules are arranged in a tetrahedral configuration to record A-format ambisonics, which can be decoded to B-format (FuMa or AmbiX) via free or commercial software (Harpex, SPARTA, Blue Ripple, etc.). The capsules are hand-tuned at the factory for phase coherence and frequency response within ±1 dB, ensuring accurate spatial imaging across the full 360° horizontal and vertical sphere.
