The IGS Audio EQM500 is a premium 500-series equalizer inspired by the legendary Pultec program equalizer of the 1950s, delivering classic analog warmth, musical curves, and precise midrange control in a compact format. Hand-built with high-tolerance UTM inductors, Grayhill stepped switches, and custom IGS transformers on input and output, it excels at surgical midrange shaping — taming resonances, decluttering, or opening up the sound — while the LOW and HIGH bands add body and presence in a highly musical way. Perfect for vocals, guitars, snare, mix bus, or mastering, the EQM500 brings timeless Pultec magic to modern hybrid studios.

Classic Pultec-Style Midrange Focus

The EQM500 features a dedicated midrange band with 12 precisely stepped frequencies (200 Hz–7 kHz) and ±12 dB boost/cut, ideal for removing problem resonances, clearing mud, or enhancing presence. Low and high bands (6 frequencies each) provide gentle, musical body and air. The low Q (0.7) ensures smooth, natural curves, while stepped controls guarantee perfect recall and stereo matching.
