Drawmer 1979 Channel Strip - Modern British Analogue Tone

The Drawmer 1979 is a versatile 1U channel strip that combines an ultra-clean THAT Corporation microphone preamplifier, dynamic Lift module, musical three-band parametric EQ, and vintage-style soft-knee FET compressor — all hand-built in the UK with classic Drawmer quality. Switchable EQ/compressor order, independent bypasses, and a wet/dry mix control give total flexibility, while the pristine preamp, Lift circuit, and warm compression deliver true analogue musicality to vocals, guitars, drums, and full mixes.

Ultra-Clean Preamplifier

66 dB of stepped gain, +48 V phantom, switchable mic impedance, phase reverse, and variable low-cut filter. Separate mic/line/instrument DI inputs plus a dedicated direct preamp XLR output for maximum routing options.

Lift – Intelligent Low-Level Enhancement

Automatically boosts quiet signals below 0 dB while leaving louder transients pass untouched — perfect for adding presence to vocals, fingerstyle guitar, or ambient sources without noise or pumping.

Musical Parametric EQ

Fully variable three-band EQ with overlapping ranges, ±12 dB cut/boost, and switchable Q on the mid band. Inspired by 1970s British consoles for smooth, natural tone shaping.

Warm FET Compressor

Soft-knee design with standard controls plus rear-panel sidechain insert. Delivers everything from transparent levelling to classic drum crunch and mix-bus glue.
