Audeze LCD-1 Open Back Headphones Impress for Less

Audeze may be shooting themselves in the foot a little here, by releasing this extremely detailed and neutral pair of open back headphones at this price point. I have to admit I wasn't expecting what I heard upon testing these, but they don't seem like a compromise to me vs much more expensive cans (including Audeze!).

Depth, detail, clarity and texture are all there, along with an ultra wide bandwidth that delivers top to bottom. It's a refined listening experience that I've not heard at such a low cost. Audiophiles and those who enjoy mixing in cans will appreciate their comfort as well, they really have a kind of old school cushy feel to them.
