Hand-built in Germany with premium components, it uses a high-quality opto cell for transparent, natural compression with the characteristic warmth and glue of classic optical designs. Featuring stepped controls for precise recall, sidechain high-pass filtering, and a clean yet musical sound, the Vocal Leveler 500 is ideal for tracking lead and background vocals, dialogue, acoustic instruments, and buss processing in compact hybrid or analogue setups.

Smooth Optical Compression

The optical gain-reduction element provides gentle, program-dependent compression that tames peaks while preserving transients and adding subtle harmonic richness. The Vocal Leveler excels at leveling vocals without squashing dynamics, delivering consistent, polished performances that sit perfectly in the mix. Adjustable attack and release times, threshold, ratio, and make-up gain allow fine-tuning from subtle glue to more assertive control.
