SPL BiG Studio Stereo Image Processor - Analog Stereo Enhancer

The SPL BiG Studio is a 1U rackmount stereo image processor that dramatically widens the soundstage and adds vivid detail with tube harmonics and flexible frequency shaping. Designed to enlarge the stereo image without artifacts, it uses a difference signal processed via analog filters and mixed back, preserving mono compatibility. With Range, Stage, and Bigness controls, plus a 42 Hz Bass boost and optional tube harmonics, this unit breathes new life into mixes, vocals, instruments, and masters, offering creative sound sculpting in a black Studio series design with ±18V internal voltage for exceptional headroom.

Wide Stereo Imaging

The BiG Studio's innovative processing divides the signal, processes the difference with analog filters, and recombines it for a larger-than-life stereo field. Range selects the frequency band (low, mid, high), Stage shifts it forward/backward, and Bigness intensifies the effect. This M/S-like technique expands the sound without phase issues, ideal for adding depth to drums, guitars, or full mixes.

Tube Harmonics and Bass Enhancement

The Tube Harmonics control adds lush, processed harmonics via tubes, with a switch to activate the circuit (flashing LED indicates warm-up). The Bass boost (2 dB at 42 Hz) enhances low-end without mud, similar to the SPL IRON Compressor’s AirBass. These tools inject energy and harmonics, making tracks more vivid and detailed.
