Royer Labs has announced a new hot rod version of their R-10 ribbon microphone and it's called, you guessed it, the Hot Rod.
The new R-10 Hot Rod features an updated appearance package but also a transformer upgrade that gives the mic an additional +5dB of boost! This can come in handy for recording quieter sources, and not needing as much preamp boost as a result, which means lower boosted noise along with your source. We've long enjoyed the R-10's linear and natural sound as it sounds good on any source you put it in front of.
The Hot Rod is shipping this week in both singles and factory matched stereo pairs at ZenPro!
