CAD E100SX Microphone Now Shipping, We Compared It And Wow

CAD's latest revision of the E100 series, the CAD E100SX, is now shipping! This large diaphragm condenser microphone has essentially the same appearance with few changes in relation to the previous version, but wow could they not sound any different.
The new E100SX has a more linear response from the deep lows, full midrange and non-accentuated high frequency response. This makes it a big but smooth sound. We were very surprised at how different the new revision sounds particularly that natural sounding top that doesn't provide lift. The mic sounds very un-processed as a result, and puts it in a category of one of the smoother affordable condenser style mics we've ever encountered.
