WesAudio's ngTubeComp and ngTubeEQ, Hear The Gear at ZenPro

As always we work hard to let you hear the gear before you buy, at ZenPro.

We got our hands on the new WesAudio ngTubeComp compressor and WesAudio ngTubeEQ equalizer and were able to spend the entire day with these amazing units! These are fully analog signal path yet fully digital controlled pieces of studio hardware and have a massive presence as well as sound. The ability to fine tune every control down to fractions of a dB gives you the kind of DAW control we've all become used to, but the full analog and transformers plus tube sound we all miss from plugins. Of course you can control these units from a plugin so your workflow doesn't even have to change!

Hear Them Both In Our Clipalator Now

WesAudio ngTubeComp

A very versatile dual mono or stereo compressor with MS mode, the ngTubeComp is definitely tuned up for mix buss control which most would use these units for. The knee and action is extremely pleasing for this use, it's fast enough to maintain control but the response curve is tuned to allow full bandwidth mixes to still sound open without artifacts. The MS mode is handy to subtly widen your mixes (I used -1dB on the mid channel to create the Clipalator MS clip) again without hearing side effects. We printed both THD and TUBE modes of distortion saturation on multiple sources as well. I also printed feed forward and feedback versions of our stereo mix to let you hear the difference in grab the FF mode brings (I personally prefer feedback on most sources).

WesAudio ngTubeEQ

Equipped with both proportional and constant Q (we printed both) and total control again down to fractions of a dB, the ngTubeEQ gives you everything you want from analog hardware including TONE. The unit has massive headroom for an open clean sound, but of course gives you distortion saturation modes that we enabled to you let you hear as well. Again we have the MS stereo mode so you can adjust the width of your final mix to your heart's content. The sound of inductors and transformers and tubes all being controlled by a DAW plugin is absolutely priceless. WesAudio has always blended analog with digital workflow seamlessly and it's another winner.

As of this writing the ngTubeComp and ngTubeEQ are in stock and shipping at ZenPro!
