Lauten has started to ship the Lauten Audio Kick Mic and it's in stock at ZenPro! As always we like to deliver more info before you buy here, so we compared it with an original AKG D112 in a side by side shootout and posted it in the microphone folder of our Clipalator media player.
The mics were positioned inside of my Arbiter 22" kick to pick up both the beater and the resonant outer head. Every filter was engaged and recorded separately on the Lauten Audio Kick Mic so you can hear how those hi-pass and lo-pass filters interact.
The bottom line is the Kick Mic delivers an all around kick drum sound that hangs with an industry standard classic, yet allows 4 filters (and any combo thereof) to tailor your sound at the source.
