The RPQ500 Gets An Upgrade With The AEA RPQ503 3rd Generation Pre EQ

AEA has updated its RPQ preamp equalizer to the new AEA RPQ503 single slot 500 series, and you can use your ears and Hear the Gear in our Clipalator before you buy at ZenPro Audio! Check it out in both the preamp and equalizer folders.

What It Does

The RPQ503 boasts +85dB which plays nicely with even the lowest output dynamic and ribbon microphones, but brings you phantom power so your condenser mics aren't left out as well. The high input impedence is part of the huge but clear and detailed gain delivery. You can even switch the gain section to LINE Level input, allowing you to use as an EQ only.

The equalizer section is again, a simple 2 band design. This newly expanded range is perfect for tracking, where you might want to quickly take down proximity effect on say a close mic vocal or guitar cab, or to raise the cymbal brilliance by boosting highs. Even sources that are otherwise perfect but you just wish had a bit more sheen or boom can benefit.
