my new favorite mic!

I'd experimented with a number of different mics in the $100 to $600 range, and this one clearly stands out and has become my new go to mic. of course, mic choice is very personal and can vary greatly depending on the singer, but this mic is incredibly versatile. of course MJ made this mic famous on his albums, but its also one of the best mics for aggressive, rock or metal vox. now thats versatility!
the sm7b provides vocal tracks with such clarity and great presence. with this mic, i've found that even my raw vocal tracks sit so nicely in the mix with no processing. i can go from melodic singing to aggressive rock vocals with this and know it can handle. only thing to worry about this is to make sure you have a preamp that can handle the mic. it takes alot of juice, so some amps will get noisy when you crank them up to where this mic wants to be. other than that caveat, i'd highly recommend this mic. and there's no better place to buy it then here. Warren from Zen Pro Audio has provided outstanding customer service to me, making me a customer for life!
