The HM-3C was designed with one thing in mind -- smooth natural reproduction of
whatever you put in front of it.
While some consider the other mics in our line to be "character
mics", the HM-3C is warm and balanced with unhyped detail across the
frequency spectrum!
Track a full drum kit with just a pair of HM3Cs, solidify and add sheen to
acoustic guitars, capture entire ensembles, horns, piano and much more.
The HM-3C starts with a 20 mm capsule based on the same design used in our popular
HM-1. The polar pattern is tighter, though, and the capsule voicing and circuit
give the HM-3C a slightly flatter overall tonal balance. A high-grade signal
path, featuring quality WIMA film capacitors throughout, ensures every sonic
detail makes it to your pre-amp.
The HM-3C ships in a nice aluminum flight case and comes with a quality shock
mount and full 1-year unconditional warranty.
