The ONLY TRI CORNER Trap on the market! Until now, acoustic enthusiasts had to make do with foam wedges for corners which are unattractive and far less efficient in sound wave absorption than acoustic panels. BUT NO MORE! Our dedicated sound engineers are proud to introduce the GIK TRI-TRAP. The Tri-Trap, like all of the GIK bass traps, was lab tested at the prestigious Riverbank Acoustics Laboratory and the results were amazing. The Tri-Trap has true effects at 50 Hz and below. The Tri-Trap has been effectively designed to absorb more low end, but also does an excellent job of absorbing the high end, creating smooth sound absorption from 50 Hz to 5000 Hz. Installing our Tri-Traps will result in a beautifully balanced room that will suit even the most critical listener.
The Tri-Trap is made from the same quality materials as the other GIK bass traps. The Tri-Trap is made to become part of the wall, and is portable, stackable and affordable. They look great, even to the most sensitive decorator’s eye, and require absolutely no installation, as they fit perfectly into the corner for maximum sound absorption. The Tri-Trap takes up far less space in your room than the typical treatment of straddling a corner with an acoustic panel, and the sound absorption is far superior.

I drove to
Atlanta to personally meet
Glenn Kuras (owner of GIK Acoustics) and to see his operation many moons ago.
Not only did I get to crash at his place for the weekend, but I was able to
become the first and only GIK dealer on Earth. It is incredible what this
company delivers for the money, Glenn has “bang for the buck” coupled with
effective products down to a science.
OK so lets understand this: I can
have superior bass control in my room and not have to pound one nail or drive
one screw…and it looks nice? Well it’s true, and I’ve got them in the front
corners of my room to prove it. The Tri Trap is another one of those GIK
Acoustics ideas that Glenn has that just works so well. You just stand them up
in the corner. In fact, they are 3’ 11” tall so you can stack them 2 high
easily in an 8’ ceiling room for extra control. I gotta admit, I only use one
in each corner: I needed more bass control but I also wanted a nice place to
put my favorite small lamps. The Tri Trap is covered in just about any fabric
color you want, so you just plop them into place and you’re done.
Conclusion: I heard a difference the
moment I stood them up in my corners, this is the second room I’ve utilized the
Tri Traps in and again they just do the job. They really are a cool place to
put a lamp, if you only need one in each corner. These things are stuffed tight
with mineral wool and ready to bring your space to life in a good way.
