We've been modifying the Yamaha HS series nearfield monitors for quite some time now, and in their price range we can find no equal...the HS8 with full ZenPro Mod been a top seller since it was introduced.

I have just added the ZenPro Mod to the Yamaha HS8S Subwoofer now, it is a $100 cost option.

The op-amps are upgraded to Burr Brown, which bring detail and resolution over the stock ones Yamaha installs at the factory. This means that your entire audio path now, if you choose to run a pair with the sub, is the same Burr Brown signal path so no "bottleneck". In our testing, switching the sub in and out of the signal path produced no audible difference...and that was our goal!
